frequently asked questions
Are you free roam? I don't like kennels
No we are not. There are many reasons for this. The biggest is your pets safety. Although the idea of your pet having free roam with other pets seems very cute, the reality is not all dogs are friendly with other dogs, and it's a preventable outcome.
Allowing clients dogs to mingle also increases risk of disease.
We do notify you in advance of your pet being done, so that you can avoid a kennel, or you can book for a straight through groom.
Do you pluck ears?
This is a yes and no answer.
The topic is highly debated and the short answer is we will go off of the advice of your individual vet. Recent evidence shows that ear plucking has a high rate of ear infections. If you have a breed who you feel requires ear plucking, ask your vet first.
Do you work on reactive dogs?
Yes!
We typically book them before we open or last appointment of the day. We find once the stress level is down, and there is no trigger, they are perfectly fine to be groomed!
Dog reactive pets are booked before or after other clients pets are in the salon. Please contact us and we can discuss a time for your pet!
What exactly is 1 on 1 grooming?
Grooming salons can be chaotic. Phones ringing, stressed dogs barking, groomers trying to keep up with their busy schedule for the day. This is the common accurance of your pet getting groomed.
We find that by only focusing on one appointment at a time greatly reduces the stress level as a whole. A less stressed out groomer allows for more time to get to know the client and pet they are working on. This in turn allows for a more relaxed pet and experience. It also sets a calmer atmosphere all around.
It truly is a diffrent experience for everyone involved!
